Slayer and Exodus Guitarist Gary Holt Says He Has Coronavirus Symptoms
In a post made on Instagram, the thrash metal icon confirms he and his wife are together in their home and he's feeling "mildly sick." The post goes on to say he won't be able to visit his grandkids until he isn't showing symptoms for at least seven days.
Further in the post, Holt says he repeatedly woke up throughout the night soaked in sweat, but down in the comments shares he doesn't have a fever and is barely coughing anymore.
So I've been locked away with @lisaholt777 , suffering from all the symptoms of Corona, without the beer! Mildly sick, better today after repeatedly waking up soaked in sweat last night. Self monitoring with my better half, and unfortunately, won't be able to visit my grandkids until I'm symptom free for seven days. Ugh. Movie time, binge watching TV, and waiting this out!
Slayer played their final shows together last year while Holt is getting ready for a new Exodus album to drop this year. In February, the guitarist said he hopes to have new material from the band prepared for later in 2020.
