The Bronx Tease New Album for January Release
Published Oct 27, 2012Ten years into their career, Los Angeles punk group the Bronx have been heavily focused on the mariachi side of things, releasing two albums by their Mexican-sounding side-project Mariachi El Bronx. Now, however, the group appear to be returning to loud guitars and raspy vocals, teasing a new album for early next year.
Fittingly, the album is called Mariachi El Bronx (II) and will feature another batch of 12 songs from the band. The album was recorded with former Oingo Boingo member Jogn Avila at his studio Brando's Paradise in San Gabriel California.
While details are very, very scarce, the band updated their Facebook page with a banner that reads "New album, January 2013."
If they do in fact release a new record as the Bronx, it'll be their first since 2008's third self-titled effort. In keeping with their naming choices, we're guessing the next one will be self-titled too.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
