Beach House, Ty Segall and Pusha T Lead This Week's Can't Miss Concerts

In this edition of Can't Miss Concerts, from March 3 to 9, we have a garage rock mainstay, the self-appointed "last cocaine superhero" and a singer/songwriter compared to the legendary Leonard Cohen. Beach House

Beach House have honed their combination of soft airy vocals and laid-back instrumentals to make for a dreamy, dark and alluring sound that they showcased last year, when they released two albums within months of each other. You'll have two chances to see the duo in Toronto before they head to Montreal.

Having been compared to the legendary Leonard Cohen, she's been recognized for her cut-your-heart-out lyrics and delicate instrumentation, but her latest album, They Promised You Mercy, showcases a bolder sound. She'll be performing her smooth folk melodies at three shows this coming week.

UK band Daughter use their shadowy and moody music to make cathartic albums. Julia Holter's talents go beyond singer-songwriter; she's also a producer, composer and artist. Her various creative outlets allow for her music to take many directions, and she blends modern composition with electronic music to deliver her textured, experimental sound. Virginia Beach native Pusha T has lined up a successful 2016, with the anticipation for the follow-up to his well received King Push - Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude peaking. Pusha's lyrics range from heartfelt to intense gritty drug rap, with notable figures like Q-Tip, Boi-1da, and Kanye West producing. Fans can see him perform his massive tracks in Vancouver tonight (March 3).
