Phoenix Apologize for Collaborating with R. Kelly
Adding to the growing list of artists apologizing for collaborating with R. Kelly, French indie-rock band Phoenix are now saying sorry as well.

In a statement delivered via Twitter, Phoenix wrote, "We are deeply horrified by the stories of abuse surrounding R. Kelly. We regret that we were not both more informed and more discerning when we worked with him previously. We fully support all victims of sexual abuse, and it's our hope that there will be a path to justice." Phoenix got R. Kelly for a remix of the band's Bankrupt! single "Trying to Be Cool," which arrived by in 2013. They also performed together at Coachella that same year.

This latest apology adds to a list that now includes Lady Gaga, Chance the Rapper and more. They come following the release of Lifetime's Surviving R. Kelly documentary series, which explores a number of new disturbing sexual abuse allegations against the R&B singer.
