Published Dec 14, 2018John Lennon and Yoko Ono's holiday classic "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)" has been revamped by Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson, along with Lennon and Ono's son Sean Ono Lennon.
Cyrus, Ronson and Lennon are the latest in a long line of artists to have covered the song, following Neil Diamond, Diana Ross and Jeff Tweedy.
Cyrus spoke to Howard Stern about the new version of the song, but reiterated the original message behind the song. "Are we doing enough, are we actually active? All we do is complain and we don't actually get out there and do enough in our communities," she said. "I think it's so timely for right now."
Listen to her updated version below.
Cyrus and Ronson, along with Lennon, will perform the track on tomorrow night's (December 15) episode of Saturday Night Live, where they will also do their single "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart."
