Earlier this week, Lizzo went after her Postmates food delivery driver on Twitter when she didn't show up. Now, the No. 1 "Truth Hurts" singer has apologized for publicly shaming the worker.

Lizzo tweeted a (since-deleted) photo of the driver with the message: "Hey @Postmates this girl Tiffany W. stole my food. she lucky I don't fight no more."

The food delivery service responded with an apology and asked for Lizzo's details to further look into the complaint.

Some Lizzo stans leapt to the singer's defence, claiming that she deserves everything in the world (especially when it's an order of food she paid for), while others called her out for using her celebrity and power to likely get a service worker fired over what may have been a simple misunderstanding.

Lizzo has since responded, apologizing for publicly shaming the Postmates driver.

"I understand I have a large following and that there were so many variables that could've put her in danger," she wrote. "Imma really be more responsible with my use of social media and check my petty and my pride at the door."
