Published Apr 04, 2019Beyoncé and Adidas have signed a partnership deal that will see the singer becoming a creative collaborator with the athletic brand.
The superstar will aid in developing signature sneakers and apparel, as well as new "performance" and "lifestyle" products. She will also relaunch her own athleisure line Ivy Park, which was previously sold at Topshop.
Ivy Park initially launched in 2016, though Beyoncé's Parkwood Entertainment acquired full ownership last year after co-founder Philip Green was accused of sexual harassment.
The relaunch of the brand does not mean that Bey is giving up her owner title, though. A press release notes, "This partnership respects Beyoncé's ownership of her company."
"This is the partnership of a lifetime for me," Beyoncé said in a statement. "Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to relaunching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader."
