Netflix Is Tired of Your Password Sharing

The streaming hub will address it in a "consumer-friendly" way
Netflix Is Tired of Your Password Sharing
While some Netflix subscription plans limit how many screens you can simultaneously watch on, password sharing between multiple people for single accounts is still a popular way to stream on the cheap. However, the service could crack down on this practice sooner than later.

In a recent interview concerning Netflix's third-quarter earnings, CFO Spencer Neumann was asked about the company's approach to password sharing and whether or not it would look to curb the practice in the future without alienating subscribers.

"We continue to monitor it," Neumann answered. "We're looking at the situation and we'll [look for] those consumer-friendly ways to push on the edges of that."

He added that Netflix has "no big plans to announce at this time in terms of doing something different."

While it isn't clear what that "consumer-friendly" method would look like, those onboard with account sharing have little to worry about. You can hear Neumann's answer in the player below.
